A Defining Moment

This environment means everything to me. With it my life changed from a game art student into an environment artist.

The big difference, when comparing it to previous ones, was the post-processing. At that point, I understood better the available effect options and how to properly use them to achieve a realistic look, close to the photograph that I used as reference.

The texture creation process was also fun to do because I had to paint on top of most of the photographs that I used (along with any edits) to give them that dirty urban look, and some were simply created from scratch.

After completing this environment, I was aware of all the approaches that are available to us artist, which is another reason why it is so important to me.
